Grading

Using standards-based grading, grades (A, B, C, D or F) are determined by instructor and coach based on the following:

• Completion of assigned portfolio artifacts
• Instructor/coach observation of classroom practice at the school site
• Engagement in ALP 2 class discussion and activities
• Scores on class assessments
• Attendance at ALP 2 classes

50% performance (teaching observations)

50% class work/attendance

All assignments must be submitted via Blackboard and are due by midnight on the posted due date.

Late assignments will receive no higher than a 3 score.

1=Needs Improvement

2=Developing

3=Proficient

4=Exceeds Expectations

An Incomplete will be awarded only in unusual circumstances. To receive an Incomplete, the candidate must have completed 75% of the work required for the course in question, must have a strong prospect of finishing the course, and must agree in writing to a timeline for completing any missing work.
