Synthesizer - is an electronic keyboard which can manipulate sounds electronically.
Another Synthesizer which is like a sampler. Where you can record sounds and electronically alter them.
Electric Guitar - electric guitars use pick-ups which turn the vibrations of the strings of the guitar into an electronic signal. Once it is an electronic signal it can be changed into different types of effects like distortion, chorus, wah wah etc.
