Ms. Scherry's Class

Dear Parents and Students,

Get your child free eyeglasses through the Illinois Eye Institute at Princeton Vision Clinic! Call them at

Tel. 312-949-7990 for an appointment today!

Please go through your child's book bag daily and always check the homework folder. Homework assignments are listed on the Homework page of this website.

ATTENDANCE COUNTS!

Always send an absence note in order to excuse your child for the day(s) your child was absent. Include your child's name, class number 320, the date of absence, and the reason for the absence when your child returns to school. These absence notes are submitted to the Board of Education in order to have an excused absence instead of an unexcused absence.

Should you have any questions or concerns about your child's learning progress, please feel free to contact me at 773-534-5840 at school. I'm generally here between 7:30 and 3:30 p. m. You may also reach out to me at my email address: llscherry@cps.edu, but I'll probably get back to you with a return phone call. I try very hard to return all phone calls and emails within 24 hours, and I strive to contact all parents approximately every three weeks.

Our school lunch menu is available online at: www.cps.edu/menu . If you have questions about the menus or are interested in joining the CPS Student Food Advisory Council, please contact food@cps.edu .

Recess - per our school newsletter: "We continue to work with Stretch and Grow at school, ... to provide our students with necessary coaching support. As cooler weather approaches, please remember to have students dress appropriately, as they will go outside for recess." Please keep yourselves aware of the weather forecast and have your children wear hats, gloves, warm coats, and snow boots as needed.
