Thank you for considering being a Lunch Buddy at Kiser Intermediate. The goal of the Lunch Buddy program is to match Kiser students with caring role-models in the community for lunch once a week. Students may be chosen for a variety of reasons including, but not limited to, a need for: additional positive relationships; building speaking and listening skills; or a confidence and self-esteem boost. Mentors do not need any special training, they are only asked to come to school, sit with their assigned student, and have conversations with him or her.
Lunch Buddy/Mentor Guidelines:
- Mentor must complete and return the Lincoln County volunteer form.
- Mentor must be able to consistently meet with student weekly (preferred) or bi-weekly.
- Mentor must check in the front office upon arrival to the school.
- Mentor may call school on their lunch day to ensure their student is present, but does not have to.
- Mentor may bring their own lunch but should not bring food for students due to the possibility of food allergies and other dietary restrictions.

“I enjoy having lunch with my buddy each week and I feel like I’m doing something for myself as well as him.
