Students can receive information about scholarships and financial aid in a variety of ways. Taking initiative by checking the college and career area in the library often, following @ConestogaCouns on Twitter, and taking note of the following information can be extremely helpful. It makes for a very busy senior year, but typically, scholarship and financial aid can not be applied for until then. The exception would be very specialized programs.
EducationQuest Foundation is a nonprofit organization with a mission to improve access to higher education in Nebraska.They fulfill our mission through free college planning services, outreach services, need-based scholarship programs, and college access grants. Students are periodically provided with publications from EducationQuest and their website has an abundant amount of resources.

There are many scholarship services and data bases that students can use to search for national, regional, etc., scholarships. EducationQuest recommends that there is no need to pay for these services; there are plenty of reliable free services available. The following scholarship searches have been recommended by them:

Student may be eligible for scholarships through the schools they are applying to. Each school has a different process for this, so read carefully as you are applying. Then follow through with the necessary steps.
Local and Area Scholarships
Local scholarships are distributed to students at the beginning of second semester. Every student is handed the packet of information and applications. Students can also check for area and regional scholarships in the college and career area outside the counseling office and their Google Classroom. More opportunities are added all the time.
