College Visits and Reps

College Rep Visits

Periodically area colleges will schedule visits at Conestoga. College Representative visits are a great way for Juniors and Seniors to get some insight into what a college has to offer without having to leave Conestoga. The visits usually last one class period and are a great way to network and ask questions. Often, taking advantage of these visits can help students narrow down their choices before taking campus visits.

College Rep visits should be signed up for in the counselor's office by the deadline stated in the school announcements. This will allow proper dismissal from class and allow students to get the most out of a college rep visit. If you have any questions, stop in and ask Mrs. Kreifels.

Campus Visit

Students are encouraged to visits college campuses that they have some interest in. You can often find information on how to set up a visit on the school's website. Monday campus visits are encouraged. However, if the proper procedure is followed, up to two visits can be counted as school approved absences. The procedure is as follows:

Conestoga students are allowed two days of college visits during their Senior year which will be counted as "school activity" and not be reflected as personal absences. To qualify for these days, students and parents will submit the form at least two days in advance for approval and return the form to the Office with the verification of the college visit the day they return to school. Students who do not submit this form prior to the absence and upon returning will have an un-excused absence for the day missed. Junior students will be allowed one college visit day which will count toward the total of two days available during their senior year.

Forms are available in the counseling office or you can download below.
