MAPS
Multiple Assessment of Progress test is the schools's standardized test. Students progress is assessed as many as three times a year. MAPS are conducted on-line providing more immediate feedback. These test scores are also considered for course placements for our students.
PreACT
The PreACT is provided at no charge to all sophomores. The PreACT simulates the ACT testing experience within a shorter test window on all four ACT test subjects: English, math, reading and science. Results predict future success on the ACT test, and provide both current achievement and projected future ACT test scores on the familiar 1-36 ACT score scale.Students may opt to share their information with colleges and scholarship agencies. ACT Interest Inventory results provide students with a personalized view of interests with college and career alignment. Valuable results provide actionable insights to help educators, parents and students make important decisions for the future.
PSAT
The PSAT measures critical reading skills, math problem solving skills, and writing skills. This assessment provides feedback to the students on their strengths and weaknesses concerning college readiness. It can also be used as a predictor for performance on college admissions tests. Students can choose to be provided with information from various colleges. Juniors taking the test can be considered for National Merit Scholarships. In 2017 Conestoga transitioned from offering the PSAT to all sophomores to the PreACT. However, for juniors interested in taking the PSAT the school will assist them in making arrangements to take the PSAT.
ASVAB
The Armed Services Vocational Assessment Battery is provided to all juniors and seniors that notify the counselor that they would like to take the assessment. The ASVAB measures student strengths, weaknesses, and potential for future success in vocational areas. The ASVAB provides students with career information for various civilian and military occupations and is an indicator for success in future endeavors in college or a military career. It also provides students with a qualifying score for the Armed Forces Qualification Test, which is used to determine if students are qualified to join the military services. Test results are interpreted for students by representatives of the Armed Services.
