Week 3: Artist Trading Cards

The theme for this weeks lessons is Artist Trading Cards. If you celebrate Valentines Day, these could be used as cards. The presentation has information, directions and reference images. There is also a how to video.

Students will be using index cards (limit 3) and they should start in pencil, trace in sharpie and then color with crayons, markers or colored pencils. Students will take these home.

*Unless otherwise noted, students should use start in pencil and then color. They will take home their artwork. When finished, they may have 1 sheet of free draw paper (manilla). Paper typically used for sub plans can be paper on free draw table, although specific paper may be provided. Coloring materials typically used (unless otherwise noted): crayon, marker and/or colored pencils.. No paint should be used. If a student wants to use scrap paper, glue sticks and scissors to make alternative project, that is up to your discretion. Colored pencils may not be sharpened in the electric sharpeners.
