11/14: You have a sub today. Your classmates and I came up with tonight's lesson plan. I'll attach the lesson below in attachments. Again, it is your job to make up your work if you are absent. You will need a yellow text book, your independent reading book, and your reading log. TGIF!

11/13/14:

Some food for thought... An emergency for you regarding missed classwork due to absences is NOT an emergency for Mrs. Benedetto or Mrs. Daviau. Students are earning an entire English credit by coming to class AND completing nine weeks of work. Please do your best to get here and be patient as you try to get caught up. The class is moving on. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

11/12/14:

What follows is a link to an online study guide for The Crucible:

http://www.sparknotes.com/lit/crucible/

This site is to assist you as you read. It is not in place of reading; A+ students read AND use the study guide. The C- or D student uses only the study guides.

11-7-19: Nice job this week!

1. Please finish your Arthur Miller timeline. I've attached a Power Point below (see attachments) that covers the materials we've worked on all week.

2. If you have missed class this week, you need to make up all of your work in a timely fashion. This means immediately. Please remember, you are earning an entire year's worth of English credit for nine weeks of work. You do the math- that is a PHENOMENAL deal!!! :)

3. I can be reached at jbenedetto@scsd.us if you would like to e-mail me. Thank you.

Tenth Grade:

10/8:

1. Independent Reading

2. Check out Teen Ink: http://www.teenink.com/

3. Work on your writing! Remember, you are turning one of your chunks of writing into an entire piece. This could be a personal narrative (two pages), a two page poem, or a letter (two pages). Basically, you decide. All final pieces must be typed and double spaced. You will turn in your drafts too.

10/3:

Please remember to complete your reading logs regularly! I just attached the most recent set of agendas and word of the day assignments below in the attachment section.
