Creative computing is about creativity.
Computer science and computing-related fields have long been introduced to young people in a way that is disconnected from their interests and values – emphasizing technical detail over creative potential. Creative computing supports the development of personal connections to computing, by drawing upon creativity, imagination, and interests.
By completing this activity, students will:
Learning Objectives: 1. To understand how computers interpret instructions even if this means that the outcome is unexpected. 2. To show that the person writing a computer program must have a very clear understanding of what needs to be accomplished before writing the computer program. 3. Once a computer program has been written it can be tested to make sure it functions as expected.
Your project for this week is to write a set of instructions to help draw a simple object. This is to help us understand how people interpret instruction to get an expected outcome.
