MATERIALS : 3-ring binder with lots of paper, pen/pencil, graph paper, scientific calculator or graphing calculator, textbook.

THE COURSE: This course is the first of a 3-course sequence that help prepare the students for college level math classes and satisfies their math portion of A-G requirements for graduation and college readiness. Topics include: Functions (linear and exponential), Transformations, Statistics, Sequences, Systems of Equations, Congruence and Coordinate Geometry, Inequalities, and Constructions.

HOMEWORK: Homework will be given almost daily. The homework assigned is given to reinforce the concepts that we are currently studying and to also review topics that we have studied in the past. There will often be time in class to begin the homework but what is not finished will be due the next day. Late homework will be accepted within the week for partial credit. I would periodically rather have a completed late assignment rather than an incomplete on-time assignment. Homework should be handed in with the student’s name, period and problem numbers.
