ECU definitions

These files play a vital role in re-flashing process by correlating the value of "tunable" ECU variables, to their location within the ECU's flash memory. Developing these files requires expert knowledge of MCU reverse engineering, and require painstaking analysis and testing to perfect. As such, these files will not be an area of focus on this site.
For anyone using a recent version of RomRaider, there is a known issue with declaring the "storagetype" and "endian" for "static" X or Y tables, that will corrupt your binary. Many of the older definitions files on the internet contain these parameters and must be cleaned-up before using. The RRcheck utility was developed to check and update these files...
No matter what editor software you use, it's a good idea to run the checksum utility for that model ECU before flashing to ensure the "code" section of binary hasn't been corrupted...
