This course is designed to help students develop an understanding of human behavior and mental processes. In this course, we will explore the history of psychology, its main perspectives and theories, research strategies, and human processes such as memory, perception, sensation, consciousness, and stress and health. Students will be expected to bring a positive attitude in the classroom every day, complete reading assignments, and are encouraged take part in open class discussions. Grades will be assessed through daily homework, group work, quizzes, research papers, and chapter tests.
