About me: I am originally from a small town in Southwest Minnesota called Hendricks. I graduated with honors from Lincoln High School High School (Hendricks, MN). While in high school, I was a member of the basketball, football, and track teams. I also took part in concert band, jazz band, pep band, student council, Students Against Drunk Driving (SADD), and peer counseling. After graduating, I accepted a basketball scholarship to Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD. Following two years of general studies, I transferred to Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, MN and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Secondary Education. In 2015, I completed my Master's Degree in History with highest honors from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, SD in 2015.
Previous Work in Education: The first four years of my career in education were spent at Redwood Valley High School in Redwood Falls, MN. While in Redwood Valley, I taught Advanced Placement World History, Psychology, Sociology, and freshmen World History. I served as the Head Girls Basketball and Head Girls Track Coach. In the last 11 years at Lincoln High School I have taught World History, Early History of Mankind, Psychology I and Psychology II. I also serve as the Head Girls Basketball Coach of the Lady Patriots.
Interests: I enjoy coaching high school and AAU basketball, lifting weights, running, cycling, cross country skiing, watching the Minnesota Vikings, Timberwolves and Gophers, going to the movies, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends.
