Fine Art Credit, Full Year/1.0 Credit, Grade 9 - 12
Students who wish to be members of the Chamber Orchestra should register for the String Orchestra (MUS200) on their course requests. Upon completion of a successful audition, the director will work with counselors to ensure that students are placed in the Chamber Orchestra class. Details regarding the Chamber Orchestra audition process can be found in the Allstate, Evergreen, & Chamber Orchestra Audition Materials folder at the base of the page.
The Skyline Chamber Orchestra is open to string students in grades 9 through 12 who complete a successful audition or receive an invitation from the director. Students will learn advanced elements of music, with an emphasis on classical string repertoire, at an accelerated pace. Performances for the school, the community, and at music festivals outside of the school day are part of the class curriculum and participation is required. Orchestra students may travel to an out of state performance opportunity on a bi-annual basis.
