Jahan Research Group @ Miami University

Welcome to the Laboratory for Advanced Manufacturing Processes (LAMP) at Miami University! The Lab is directed by Dr. Muhammad Jahan. The goal of this lab is to engage undergraduate and graduate students in hands-on research on the areas of Advanced Manufacturing at Macro, Micro, and Nano Scale. The focus of the lab is on multi-scale conventional and non-conventional manufacturing processes of engineering materials. The targeted applications of our research are in the areas of automotive, aerospace and biomedical industries. We have state-of-the-art facilities for both conventional and non-conventional machining processes here at Miami University.

The wordy meaning of Lamp is "a device that gives light", whereas the literary meaning of Lamp is "a source of spiritual or intellectual inspiration" (Source: Google). The same is the goal of the LAMP research group. We would like to inspire our students intellectually and make them ready for their future endeavor!

We are always looking for motivated undergraduate and graduate students to join our lab. We would also be happy to welcome any potential visiting researcher to our lab. Please send an email at jahanmp@miamiOH.edu, if you are interested to join our research group. Thanks for visiting the webpage and for your interest in our research!
