Menlo Gift Bazaar

780 Santa Cruz Avenue

Photo taken 2 March 2013

In 1952, Leigh and Lillian Aldrich opened a flower and gift shop on Santa Cruz Ave at Evelyn. After a few years they moved to 811 Santa Cruz Ave (southwest corner with Crane). In 1962, they bought the Palo Alto Mutual Savings building across Santa Cruz at 780, occupying only about half the building. After reconstruction following a fire in 2000, the shop was converted to gifts-only and renamed the Menlo Gift Bazaar, now run by son Allan Aldrich and his wife Leslie.
