Mission Statement

The purpose for which this association is formed is to collect, preserve and disseminate historical data, information, relics and objects or records of historical interest relating to the City of Menlo Park and environs.

MPHA was organized in 1971 as an offshoot of the Friends of the Library. The Library provides a room in the Library basement for MPHA archives and office. No other subsidy is received from the City. You can help carry out our mission by becoming a member and/or by making a donation.

Documents related to Menlo Park history are filed in the MPHA office using the subject headings that can be found by clicking on Subject Headings page on the left side bar.

Using the same subject headings as for documentation above, the MPHA historic photos are separately filed in the MPHA office. A significant number of these photos have been scanned and the TIFF images stored on a hard disk. A subset of these photos in JPEG format and with limited resolution are posted on the web: click on the Photos page on the left side bar.
