Welcome to the Mountaineer Chapter web site!!! Check out the pages under Navigation to learn more about the Mountaineer Chapter.
The Mountaineer Chapter of the Izaak Walton League was formed in 1956 and is located 5 miles east of Beverly, WV, on the headwaters of Files Creek in Randolph County.
The chapter at this time has about 400 members who are dedicated to the wise use of our natural resources. To assure this knowledge is passed on, many youth activities are sponsored by our chapter.
We offer prime hunting on our 1100 acres of mountain land. We also have a small pond that we stock twice each year; once with trout and once with catfish, that provide members and their families with catch and release fishing. The Tygart Valley Muzzleloaders built and maintain a shooting range on club property, which is available for use by club members.
MISSION STATEMENT OF THE IZAAK WALTON LEAGUE OF AMERICA, INC.
