Arena
A 25,000 seat Arena is required to serve the people of Northampton and the South Midlands with an "Arena of National Significance". It is envisaged that Northampton will have the ability to host world class cultural events, exhibitions and concerts.
Retail and Leisure
A significant component of the Roundhill Park proposed SUE will be a retail and leisure development. This will serve to support the retail and leisure needs of the nearby residential population, but also address leisure requirements of the wider North Northampton North area.
Hospital
Roundhill Park, is strategically positioned along the A43 corridor between Kettering and Northampton.
Roundhill Park widely accessible to a substantial resident population, its location along the A43 corridor also means it would be readily accessible to a wider catchment area. Proposals to improve the capacity and efficiency of the A43 as well as enhance public transport movement along this strategic corridor will result in the Hospital being well placed on the regional communication network.
Employment Land
The employment requirements of West Northamptonshire are proposed to be substantially increased following the response of the JPU to the concerns of the Core Strategy Examination Inspector.
