The characteristics of Morning Light
Morning Light operates as a team
We basically work as a team.
The team is responsible for making decisions and formulating policies.
To maintain the best integrity, we have established a system to monitor one another.
Doing individual and team evaluation is part of our job.
Morning Light makes decisions as a team
Senior missionaries can nominate and elect board members and team leaders.
Establish channels and means of communication so that each missionary can directly reflect his/ her opinion to the leaders in the field.
Different teams gather once a year to jointly formulate goals and strategies for the ministry.
Morning Light values the role of women
We believe that family is the primary responsibility of a mother which comes before participation in the ministry.
Our Mission will provide useful resources to empower and assist women in their ministry and personal growth.
Our female missionaries have the opportunity to take up leadership in the ministry.
Morning Light cares about every missionary
The team leader and the field director regularly meet the missionaries to offer help and guidance.
Staff from the Headquarter regularly visit various mission fields to offer support and encouragement.
As everyone has unique gifts and talents, we will help the missionaries find a field which can best utilise their gifts and abilities.
For missionaries living in areas with poor medical facilities, we provide for their costs of returning home for medical treatment.
When the missionaries identify any instability in the area their field is located, they can take the relevant contingency actions in accordance with a set of established emergency response protocol.
When the missionaries or their family members need counselling, we ensure provision of immediate assistance.
Morning Light is God's loyal steward
Same as other missions, we only take one-tenth of missionary’s income as administrative expenses.
Each team formulates its own salary and housing allowance system subject to approval of the Board of directors.
Our missionaries try their best to match the living cost of the local people.
The salary of a missionary is not determined by his academic qualifications and job posiotion, but by the number of members in his family and the living standards of the mission field.
The office staff would raise funds for their own salary to reduce the administrative costs.
