The Monroy family bought other propierty named "El Godo" near to San Marcos but in the south rim of the Tula river. El Godo is really the name of some hill, desertic hills in the south of San Marcos. This ranch was in the main road from Tula to Mexico, and it was the road used by the indigenous in San Lorenzo, called "Bonchitos"
The ranch is beside of a small town, actually this village is known as "El Carmen". It was a large ranch, which grew corn, beans, maguey, there were a large store in that supplied food to San Ildefonso people and specially to "the bonchitos", nickname of the indigenous of the town San Idelfonso.
Rafael built a big cistern on the floor, in order to store water for the use of the ranch. He make an ingenious design of small canals up on the hill and all was communicated and discharged into the cistern.
Rafael lived here until several days previous of the time of his execution, with his wife, Guadalupe Hernandez, his daughter Concepcion Hernandez Monroy and also lived with him some workers who they were converted to the gospel, including Daniel Montoya Gutierrez.
