In the Saturday Morning Session Of the 176th LDS Semiannual General Conference, October 2006 in Salt Lake City, President James E. Faust Second Counselor in the First Presidency talked a great message titled Discipleship (see alternative video)
He mentioned in his message the event where Rafael Monroy and Vicente Morales were executed July 17, 1915, because they would not deny their testimony in San Marcos, Hidalgo, Mexico.
Previously President Faust reffered to the same history in the Multi-Stakes Conference broadcasted by satelite for the Stakes on the North of Mexico held in January 22, 2006.

There are several historical references and studies regarding to this execution, here the list in chronological order when they were publicated or written:
1) August 27, 1915 Letter written by María Jesús Mera Perez, mother of Rafael Monroy Mera addressed to Rey Lucero Pratt, President of the Mexican Mission
2) October 21, 1915 "The Reply" : Letter written by Rey L Pratt President of the Mexican Mission to Jesús Mera Vda. de Monroy mother of Rafael Monroy.
3) June, 1918. Improvement Era, Vol XXI, No. 8. "A Latter-Day Martyr" By Rey L. Pratt.
4) April 4, 1920. "I will make one last request". Message by Rey. L Pratt, president of the Mexican Mission in the 90th Annual LDS Conference.
5) From 1906 to 1938. "Como llego el Evangelio Restaurado al pueblo de San Marcos, Hidalgo, Tula de Allende, Estado de Hidalgo" (How was stablished the Restored Gospel in San Marcos, Tula of Allende, Hidalgo State) written by Guadalupe Monroy Mera, according the events on those years. Spanish Only.
6) From 1900 to 1973 . ' The Journal of W. Ernest Young" written by Ernest Young relating the events of all his life and compiled in 1973 in a 700 pages book.
