研究の関心

人の出生力は、地域や時代によって、そして同じ社会に生きる個人の間でも大きく異なります。私はこの違いが生じる理由に関心をもっています。出生力は生物学的な要因だけではなく、人々が生きる環境によっても形づくられます。そして現在の世代の選択が、次の世代の人口動向を左右します。

現在進行中のプロジェクト「性と生殖の生態学（EcoR）」では特に性生活に着目し、出生率の低下と不妊の増加をもたらす要因を探っています。

My Research Interest

Human fertility varies widely — across regions, across time, and among individuals within the same society. I am interested in why. Fertility is shaped not only by biology but also by the environment in which people live, and the choices of today's generation set the population trends of the generations that follow.

Our ongoing project, Ecology of Sexuality and Reproduction (EcoR), examines the drivers of declining birthrates and rising infertility, with a particular focus on sexuality.
