The MIT Winter Milonga

MIT Tango Club is honored to announce the next MIT Milonga on Wed, Jan 28: Pulso: An Alternative Tango Event! We are excited to host a special live musical performance (danceable alternative tandas) by Manuela Sánchez Goubert, a Colombian artist recently back from an international tour who blends Jazz with Latin American folk music! The event will also feature traditional, modern, and alternative tango tandas by DJ Fidan. Venezuelan empanadas, sweets, and other refreshments will be provided. Dress your finest and invite your friends for this unmissable experience!

Tickets can only be purchased online and we recommend getting them as soon as possible.

• Click "Register" 

• MIT students only: log in using your MIT account

• Everyone else: sign up as a one-time user (no worries, you will not be prompted to set up an account)

• As a one-time user, write basic contact information, including email - you will be then prompted to verify your email (check Spam folder!)

• Answer registration questions

• Select appropriate ticket category

• Confirm your Registration

• Make a payment by card

Ticket purchase is final. Refunds are not available.

Tickets are non-transferable and will be checked at the entrance.

Special Features

• Beginner-friendly separated small ronda - for fresh tango enthusiasts not quite ready yet for the main ronda

• Food (Venezuelan empanadas, sweets, and other snacks!) and non-alcoholic beverages provided free with admission

Rules & Regulations

• Please bring your own water bottles to help us reduce waste; there is a water fountain in the hallway

• No alcohol allowed

• Bring your government-issued ID and student ID, if applicable

• Dress code: elegant, formal

• Entrance for non-MIT affiliates -  please note, MIT closes general public access to campus buildings at 7:00pm, so please try to arrive before that time. We will try to have volunteers who can help open the door for the first hour of the milonga.

• Photography & videography by our designated staff will occur at this event, and some of these images may be distributed on social media (Facebook - MIT Tango Club, Instagram - mit.tangoclub)
