Join the MIT Tango Club and the MIT LGSA for two free introductory Argentine tango classes taught by master instructor Hernán Brizuela. The classes will be followed by a social with free food and music at the MIT Stratton Student Center. No partner required. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothes that you can walk comfortably in.
Note: The classes will work on introducing the core concepts of tango and the fundamental of the dance. Anyone can join for either class, and everyone is welcome to attend both (it is great to continue to practice fundamentals for all levels of dancers). In other words, the classes are not progressive, so it is fine to join for either or both.
Dates: Thursdays, January 15 and 29 from 7:15-10:15pm

About the Instructor:
Hernán Brizuela has taught and performed at festivals, milongas, and studios in New York and Massachusetts as well as in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, and Argentina. He was a principal dancer in the off-Broadway dance play Let's Speak Tango and choreographed and starred in the short film Gardenias. He performed in many productions led by Maestro Romulo Larrea, Tango First Century, Spotlight on Tango, TANGOS: from Gardel to Piazzolla and TANGO for Lovers across the United States, Canada, and Europe. He and his partner Anita Flejter teach classes at the Ultimate Tango Dance School in Malden, MA. For more information about their regular weekly classes, you can visit www.ultimatetango.com.
