Welcome to my online, professional portfolio! My name is Elizabeth Swartzwelder (or Beth Anne as most know me), and I am a recent graduate of Seton Hill University. I have completed my student teaching at Peters Township High School, in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, with five classrooms composed of 10th grade Honors students and 12th grade Advanced Placement students.
After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and a minor in New Media Journalism, I moved into the job force as a building substitute for Peters Township, where I also worked as a long-term substitute for a semester. Last year, I worked as an Instructional Practitioner at Chartiers Valley Middle/High School before moving to 8th Grade ELA as a long-term substitute at Hampton Middle School and finally to Ni River Middle School in Fredericksburg, VA, where I have taught 7th and 8th Grade ELA for the last three years.
On the "Best of the Best" page, I have included what I believe to be the most impressive artifacts from my most recent experience. These are the pieces that I would absolutely want an administrator to take a look at before exploring the rest of this site. In the remaining pages, I have included other artifacts pertaining to the Danielson Framework for additional exploration.
I am so enthusiastic about my potential career, and I hope that this portfolio will convey those thoughts. Take a second to look around, and if you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me at baswartz.11@gmail.com.
