Lodge Use

Environmental requirements

Members have been advised previously of the responsibilities imposed on the Club in relation to environmental issues by NPWS and of our increased reporting obligations. A copy is also displayed in the Lodge and will be sent with confirmation of all Lodge bookings.

Drying machines

There is a drying machine (and a washing machine) downstairs. Please use these for the washing and drying of clothes. Please do NOT use the upstairs drying room to hang washing.

Security access

The security access code for the Lodge may be changed at the start of each ski season. This is to try and minimise unauthorised entry to the Lodge. The current code will be shown on the form confirming your booking at the Lodge. If you need a reminder, please call Garth Purdy on 0409 325 414 or Susan Zipfinger on (02) 9498 8590.

Bedrooms

Please note that stained doonas must be washed by Members as there are spare ones now in the Lodge.

Signs

Please ensure you are familiar with and have read all notices located on the noticeboard in the foyer area.

Handy Hints Before You Leave for your Skiing Trip

Proactive Packing:

· Pack all perishables and groceries into esky or 'green' bags

· Purchase environmental friendly products and packages

Conserving Water

· Please check that all taps are turned off when you leave a bathroom or the kitchen

· Turn the tap off when brushing your teeth

· Ensure the dishwasher and washing machine are full before you use them

· Turn the tap off when shaving

· Refrain from shaving while under the shower

· Wash clothes in cold water cycle

Conserving Energy

· Ensure lights are turned off as you exit rooms

· Turn heaters on only when you need to use them in your rooms

We are facing a rising cost environment on a number of fronts. Water usage and electricity are two aspects that we have some control over. Members must please ensure that water and electricity usage in the Lodge is kept to a minimum.

Fire Alarms

Take care not to inadvertently set off fire alarms eg by creating excess steam in bathrooms or kitchens. The NSW Fire Brigade in 2013 increased their charge for each call out to an alarm from $750 to about $1350 and have made it a mandatory charge. Avoiding such charges is critical and is the responsibility of everyone who uses the Lodge.

· All phone calls must be paid for correctly

· All internet users must pay full STD rate

· Please use your own mobile telephone to access the internet

Call Charges:

· Local calls: 40 cents

· All STD calls: 40 cents per minute plus 35 cent connection fee

· Phone calls to all mobiles: 40 cents per minute
