Who Am I?

Ming has ten years of working experience as a journalist for SPH's flagship Chinese daily Lianhe Zaobao. For most of his time at SPH, he was a reporter for China Desk and digital content producer for zaobao.com, and wrote commentary articles on China affairs and Singapore-China relations. He was also the assistant editor of Chinese Entrepreneur, a bilingual publication for the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He was the editorial director of a new media company, in-charge-of editorial planning and marketing operations. He is a guest current affairs commentator for Mediacorp radio station Capital 95.8FM and a food and travel writer. He has been invited on several occasions to speak on topics such as local food culture and travel experiences.

Ming holds a Bachelor's degree in Chinese Studies at National University of Singapore and a Master's degree in Public Administration at Nanyang Technological University. He is now the assistant director of Confucius Institute, NTU. He is also a committee member of Singapore Society of Asian Studies, an academic and cultural body aims at promoting research on the histories and cultures of Asia, particularly on that of the Chinese communities in South East Asia.


新加坡国立大学中文系毕业,南洋理工大学公共管理硕士。新加坡亚洲研究学会理事。有十年在报馆从事新闻和编辑工作的经验,也曾担任新加坡中华总商会会刊《华商》的编辑,以及电台的客座时事评论员。曾出任新媒体公司董事,负责内容策划和市场运营等业务。目前是南洋理工大学孔子学院助理院长。
