Mission & Purpose

The Mission:  The Middle Pennsylvania District is a community of believers in Christ, continuing His work peacefully, simply, and together. Building on a common heritage and vision, the District exists to encourage and strengthen the life of the member congregations for service and witness to the good news of salvation in the name and love of Christ.

The Purpose:  The District has the three-fold purpose of (1) administering and coordinating the religious/business activities of the Church of the Brethren, within District bounds; (2) assisting congregations in carrying out their unique mission; and (3) enabling member congregations to join together to participate in shared mission.
