Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
~ Colossians 3:12-13
Because we are chosen, because we are holy and because we are beloved, we can put on compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness and patience.
Our retreat speaker led us through the weekend of thinking on these things and making steps in our own hearts to be who God has made us to be. Cindy Aufrance has a heart for ministry with women and for helping hurting
women and we were so encouraged by the Truth she brought to our ladies at retreat.
We had 208 women at retreat. 33 Friends churches were represented, and 16 women were from other denominations. We raised over $6500! What a huge blessing…that money will go toward EFM missionaries. We
will let you know where we send your money.
Thanks to everyone who brought things to bid on and who did the bidding/buying! The biggest thing about retreat is that you
came, you showed up.
SAVE THE DATE!
September 18-20, 2026
We're goin' to Kansas City!
stay tuned...
The Friends Women Prayer Luncheon was held Saturday July 12 during Friends MinistryConference. Because it was so very close to Independence Day, the décor was Americana with lunch favors of bandanas and coffee mugs. We enjoyed a delicious light lunch – a grazing board - prepared by the campus cafeteria.
Forty women gathered to eat, visit and pray. DeAnna Linville, President of Friends Women Fellowship led us in guided prayer using Psalms 27 for our EFM missionaries. We consider it an honor and privilege to pray together for these precious people.
Friends Women Run For Missions
November 8, 2025
Come join the FWF team! We will meet in Kingman at the high school that morning to start our 10 mile journey. This is a great time for prayer and fellowship while raising thousands of dollars for mission fields around the world.
This year we will be supporting the Great Lakes Leadership Training (GLLT). They provide theology and leadership courses for pastors and church leaders in Central Africa. There is a goal of $24,000 for the run, please encourage each of your groups, and others to give. You may send donations to Sue Randall, 707 N. Stackman Dr., Unit B, Wichita, KS 67203.
If you can't be there, join us in your own community with a mini event. And please, everyone surround us with prayer! Our FWF Team captain is Tasha Taylor, please reach out to her and join us on November 8! Her contact email is tashataylor1218@gmail.com. DeAnna Linville is another point of contact for your questions. Her email is dalinville@swbell.net.
