I don't actually hear voices in my head.
I hear them from around the corner
Or the units below and above
And from across the street
And when I ride a bus or a train
Or wait in a queue at a supermarket
Or just passing by a couple on the pavement
Or sitting in a doctor's surgery (though not so much)
Or recorded to TV reports or live throws
Or on a radio or a smartphone
Or some other device of which there are so many
Voices might emanate from.
But not in my head, except in so much as
Ears focus, tiny bones shift,
Skin ripples, nerves shrink and bulge,
All that, yes, all that is in my head,
But only when any of the above occurs.
Otherwise, all is quiet between my ears.
Now, pictures...
