The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) advances concepts and technologies to enable the evolution of the US National Airspace System (NAS) to facilitate a Collaborative Decision Making (CDM) environment. In this project, prototype applications will be developed to leverage connected aircraft technology to promote proactive collaboration between Airspace Users (AUs) and the FAA improving traffic management decisions. The applications are expected to provide improvement in efficiency of air traffic and surface operations, enhance safety, and increase flexibility.
