Rex A. Dunn, age 52, formerly of Manhattan, Kansas, died on Saturday, November 17, 2012 in Aurora, Colorado. He was born on June 20, 1960 in Manhattan, Kansas, the son of Daniel J. & Wanda I. (Swartz) Dunn. He graduated from Manhattan High School in 1979 and was an office processor for a U.S. Government affiliated company in Aurora, Colorado. Rex was honored in 2009 as a Service Source Employee of the year, earning him an award trip to Washington, DC.
Rex enjoyed watching K-State Basketball, Denver Nugget Basketball and Kansas State Football. He also excelled while competing with the Special Olympics. He especially loved his nickname “T-Rex”. His personal challenges made him passionate about raising the awareness of obstacles faced by those with disabilities. His father preceded him in death in 2000. Survivors include his mother: Wanda Dunn of Louisburg, KS; a brother: Clint Dunn and his wife Teresa of Louisburg, KS; a sister: Linda Ruzicka and her husband Tom of Aurora, CO; & other family members and friends.
