Regarding the possibility of adding ECISD STAAR and EOC data to the dashboard for demo purposes:
We are willing to do this and would like to discuss the requirements in more detail in order to ensure the charts are meaningful to your team. Depending on your specific needs, we may need to gather more information about your student population. For example, in addition to the STAAR data we will also need enrollment data from your SIS.
Also, you mentioned that the EOC data requirements in your document was one of the items that we quoted you an additional cost for. It appears our response in the document may have been misinterpreted, or I have misinterpreted our conversation. The EOC data you asked for in the requirements document is already in the Dashboard, therefore there is no additional charge. We can review the charts that are currently provided and create some additional charts if necessary (additional charts are always no charge as long as the data is already in the Dashboard).
Here is an excerpt from your requirements document: (let me know if this is NOT the requirement we were discussing on the phone)
Requirement from ECISD: To effectively track students for EOC retesting, we need to know 2 collections of data:
Student information (e.g.ID#, first year enrolled in high school, first year in a Texas High School and testing results (3 tests per year per subject).
Answer by Go IT Services: Users can drill down on the data to disaggregate down to the student level showing ID and Name with a link to detailed Student view that show campus, grade level, prior state assessment results with point and click access to attendance, discipline, gradebook, class schedule, and other information. We currently do not show “first year enrolled in high school, first year in a Texas High School” but this can be easily accomplished at no additional charge.
Please let me know when we can meet next week for a telephone conference to discuss your EOC reporting needs in detail to ensure we are all on the same page, and also confirm what data we will need in order to provide the best demo to your team. By next week I will have an answer for you as well regarding the best method for transferring the files.
