God is a God of love, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Some people say therefore that God never judges or destroys anyone. However, this is contradicted by the Scripture, as follows.
Genesis 6:17 says “I, even I do bring a flood of waters upon the earth to destroy all flesh...”
Note that he says “I” twice, as if it is hard for humans to believe that God would actually do such a thing. Also see vs. 7.
See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever. If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies , and will reward them that hate me. I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy. Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people. Deuteronomy 32: 39-43
At the coming of Christ the wicked are blotted from the face of the whole earth,--consumed with the spirit of his mouth, and destroyed by the brightness of his glory. Christ takes his people to the city of God, and the earth is emptied of its inhabitants. "Behold, the Lord maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof." "The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled; for the Lord hath spoken this word." "Because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate; therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned." [ISA. 24:1, 3, 5, 6.] {GC88 657.1}
Fire comes down from God out of Heaven. The earth is broken up. The weapons concealed in its depths are drawn forth. Devouring flames burst from every yawning chasm. The very rocks are on fire. The day has come that shall burn as an oven. The elements melt with fervent heat, the earth also, and the works that are therein are burned up. [MAL. 4:1; 2 PET. 3:10.] The earth’s surface seems one molten mass,--a vast, seething lake of fire. It is the time of the judgment and perdition of ungodly men,-- "the day of the Lord’s vengeance, and the year of recompenses for the controversy of Zion." [ISA. 34:8; PROV. 11:31.] {GC88 672.2}
The wicked receive their recompense in the earth. [ISA. 34:8; PROV. 11:31.] They "shall be stubble; and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts." [MAL. 4:1.] Some are destroyed as in a moment, while others suffer many days. All are punished "according to their deeds." The sins of the righteous having been transferred to Satan, he is made to suffer not only for his own rebellion, but for all the sins which he has caused God’s people to commit. His punishment is to be far greater than that of those whom he has deceived. After all have perished who fell by his deceptions, he is still to live and suffer on. In the cleansing flames the wicked are at last destroyed, root and branch,--Satan the root, his followers the branches. The full penalty of the law has been visited; the demands of justice have been met; and Heaven and earth, beholding, declare the righteousness of Jehovah. {GC88 673.1}
And who caused the Flood? Who killed the firstborn in Egypt? Korah, Dathan, and Abiram? The 250 princes? Nadab and Abihu? The 185,000 Assyrians? Uzzah? Herod? Ananias and Sapphira? On and on.
Who is going to kill all the unsaved at the second coming?
Who is going to bring the fire out of heaven to destroy Satan and all the unsaved? Is Satan going to bring down that fire?
