David Gates has repeatedly told the story of his encounter with young people who were harassed by demons through a pop music connection. When David convinced the young people to discard and/or preferably destroy pop culture emblems such as fashion emblems and accessories associated with rock or pop music worn on clothes, hung on walls, pasted on refrigerators, mirrors, wherever -- until these items, not to mention ALL of the music CDs were finally destroyed, the demons would not leave.
It took a thorough housecleaning, precisely as Jesus described the house swept clean spic and span, spotless - - then the demons left. And of course the newly cleaned house had to be filled with the Holy Spirit and Christian items, or the demons would return and bring seven more evil of their colleagues with them.
Young people are particularly susceptible to demonic attachments through their pop culture associations. Demons are "cool" for a reason, and hang out where it's coolest, and where young people feel in the best, most popular company.
