Minimum Power and Speed

For propeller aircrafts the speed determination is based on power and not on thrust. We usually calculate power (level flight) as:

P = T*V

Useful power is the power delivered by the engine multiplied by propeller efficiency.

The speed for minimum power follows the same approach as the speed for minimum drag
