EPCOT Horizons and EPCOT Promo DVD

Disneyworld Florida's EPCOT's Horizons Attraction DVD plus bonus Documentaries!

This ride no longer exists at Walt Disney World's EPCOT Center. It unfortunately has been replaced with Mission Space (which is a great attraction, but it is a shame that Horizons is now gone!) This DVD features the entire ride plus several bonus features: A conceptual documentary of the ride prior to opening, an original slide show featuring the building and demolition of the ride (along with Mission Space) and some EPCOT newsreel footage and footage of my father's Senior Trip to Disneyland from about 1959 (from 8mm film.)

The Gem like structure, Horizons, was one of the highlights of Epcot during the 1980s and early nineties. It explored communication, energy, transportation, imagination, land, sea, and life in futuristic families. Guests first arrive at Futureport, a transportation terminal of the future where they boarded their transportation vehicles.

In the first segment, "Looking Back At Tomorrow", visitors first toured the future, as Jules Vern, and forward-looking thinkers of the 30s and 40s would have presented it.

Horizons opened on October 1st, 1983 presented by General Electric.

Runs approximately 60 minutes.

My DVD's are not professional productions, they are fan produced using home VHS video recorders, 8mm and 16 mm cameras/footage, etc.

This is home video footage so the quality varies. The lengths of my DVDs vary. However, I try to keep them close to one hour. This ensures the highest quality images. Disk(s) are in plain cd/dvd enveloped and shipped in a bubble mailer.

If you have taken a vacation trip and want to have a film souvenir keepsake of the parks, rides, shows or attractions to relive the magic, this is for you!
