This DVD is approximately 50 minutes in length. It features The entire Carousel of Progress (the newer version) as well as some 1964 New York World's Fair footage of the Carousel of Progress, Monsanto's House of the future, and Walt Disney World's Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks Show!

Monsanto's House of the Future

An early Tomorrowland attraction was Monsanto's House of the Future, made entirely of plastic. At Disneyland, the House of the Future opened in 1957 on a prime site just off the hub, adjacent to the Circarama theater. The House of the Future was one of two free attractions sponsored by Monsanto. The other was the Hall of Chemistry, which closed in 1966. After Monsanto's Adventure Thru Inner Space opened in 1967, the House of the Future was doomed.

The Carousel of Progress

The Carousel of Progress was Walt's own idea from beginning to end. He loved it. He introduced the show at the World's Fair in New York City in 1964 and it was an immediate smash hit. Millions of people came to see it and since then, the Carousel of Progress has had more performances than any other stage show in the history of American theater. You know, Walt loved the idea of progress and he loved the American family. He himself was probably as American as anyone could possibly be. He thought it would be fun to watch the American family go through the twentieth century experiencing all new wonders as they came. And he put them together in a show called Carousel of Progress, which we are about to see. Although our Carousel family has experienced a few changes over the years, our show still revolves around the same theme - and that's progress.

My DVD's are not professional productions; they are fan produced using home VHS video tapes and recorders, 8mm and 16 mm cameras/film footage, etc.

This is home video footage so the quality varies. The lengths of my DVDs vary. However, I try to keep them close to one hour. This ensures the highest quality images on the disks. Disk(s) are in plain CD/DVD enveloped and shipped in a bubble mailer. Great souvenir keepsake of the parks, rides, shows and attractions for Theme / Amusement Park or roller coaster enthusiasts and collectors!
