Older mcjNewCastle
Introduction
NOTE:
i'm publishing the castle piece by piece
things will be added and updated
( possibly Thursday February 4th 2016 )
to do :
-The manual ( this page ) will be improved, and posted in PDF format
-There will be Door Handles and Window lock mechanisms props !
- There will be a special script that installs the door and window handles for you in 1 or 2 mouse clicks
- There will be at least one update to fix an issue with one of the main balconies (duplicate geometry)
Here’s the brand new version of mcjCastle !!!
The old castle was all welded, so the doors and windows could not be animated.
All the mcjNewCastle doors and windows can be opened, closed or even deleted
The mcjNewCastle is composed of 18 modules, so you can hide or even delete the modules that are not needed for a given portrait
The floors and ceilings are also removable
The old castle had a weirdly terminated stairs handrail, the new one has a cute violin-tail ending.

USE
Loading the Castle and Stair props
If the installation went well, the castle and stair props will be in your content library
in a "Poser Formats" subsection, in my case the jacques/Props/mcasual subsection
but for you it will probably be something like MyLibrary/Props/mcasual.
If you are new to Daz Studio, be aware that Daz Studio only sees the folders
which you specified in Edit/Preferences/Content Library/Content Directory Manager.
When you load the mcjNewCastleStair prop, it should appear exactly at the proper location
There's a Floor "Trap" panel and a Ceiling "Trap" panel that needs to be deleted
simply select them with your mouse and hide or delete them.
Running the script that makes the castle and stairs look good
The castle and the stairs are "Poser (tm)" compatible props.
Unfortunately Daz Studio doesn't take into account the Poser shader settings like Tiling.
The bump map settings and reflection settings are also problematic.
So i made a little script that goes through the hundreds of surfaces of the castle and stairs
and makes it all good!
If the installation went well, the script name mcjNewCastleSetup.dsa will be in your content library
in a "Studio Formats" subsection, in my case the jacques/scripts/mcasual subsection
but for you it will probably be something like MyLibrary/scripts/mcasual.
If you are new to Daz Studio, be aware that Daz Studio only sees the folders
which you specified in Edit/Preferences/Content Library/Content Directory Manager.
