mcjCreateNull

Purpose

In older versions of Daz studio when we created nulls, we had the option of parenting the selected objects to the brand new Null

The glasses in the picture are 3 objects, so creating a parent-null helps us move the glasses as 1 object

Installation

The zip package is found at the bottom of this page

unzip it in your daz content folder,

typically :

C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library

once installed, it will appear in your content library, under

My Library / Scripts / mcasual

Starting with Windows 7 if you right click on the downloaded zip file

and select the [Extract All ....] pop-up menu item

you simply browse up to your Daz Studio Content Folder

and the files will fall in the proper folder

Use

Select the objects that will be parented to the new null, if that's what you intend.

run the script

you can name the null as you please.

the script will only ensure that the word you use is a valid name

after you exit the script, you can undo this action through Daz Studio's Edit menu

Note that this script will refuse to parent a figure joint to the new null
