ASSIGNMENTS for Monday, Oct. 15 & 16

1. You By the Numbers - Create a small (8"x10") image of You by the Numbers in your Math notebook. This should have a picture of you and any numbers that are important to you and your life. Represent these numbers in a variety of ways. Fractions, decimals, ratios, pictures, Roman numerals, combinations, You will share your image with others at our next class.

2. Come with the SOL for your grade level and the Current Event Assignment directions (found in the course documents folder) accessible (printed or on your laptop or mobile device).

- Review the pages. Create a chart/list/ table/and or visual that shows each of 5 NCTM standards/Strands:

Number and Operations, Algebra, Geometry, Measurement, and Data Analysis and Probability

For each category - Give a definition; list examples of content/skills that students will should be learning and practicing; create a visual to represent the standard. Here is an example that I started for you: (Please note that you DON'T have to use a table. Just be sure to create something that supports your own learning.
