Then, my Salvadorian friend told me about the school called "Academia Barista Pro".
And, after staying in El Salvador a while, then I found out that in World Barista Championship 2011, Salvadorian guy won the World Champion!! And it was the first time that somebody from coffee producing country won the World Champion. Then, I started to have some interests to the Barista. That was the start.
I'm not Barista and I don't know anything about it. I just like drinking coffee. I drink coffee everyday and when I was in Japan my favorite coffee always came fromm El Salvador.
So, I wanted to come to El Salvador and hoped to learn something about my favorite coffee.
In short, Barista is the profession or person who makes coffee beverage like espresso, etc..
For more detail, please check wiki.
Barista is the small learning project I'm trying to work on.
Barista
They have courses of Barista, Latte art, Brewing methods and it looked quite interesting for me.
Especially, "Diploma of the Professional Barista" looks most interesting.
Academia Barista Pro is the Barista School in El Salvador in Central America.
They teach many courses about Barista. From basic to Professional for competition and some courses for business too.
Academia Barista Pro
So, I decided to try to get a Diploma of the Professional Barista!! For fun, for more option, for my future and travel. Quesetion is only if I can..
And, I have a plan to work in Brazil for couple of months. And, Brazil is also famous coffee producing country so I thought about the option. And concluded that the Diploma will probably help me get a job in Brazil and maybe later on in Japan or anywhere in the world after my travel, either temporary o permanently.
Honestly, I'm not really interested to be a Barista. I I just like drinking black coffee. Something easy, something simple. I usually don't drink anything else. So I never prepared something fancy for myself and I don't think I will prepare something fancy for me in the future even if I know how.
But, taking these kind of courses in Japan or other countries will cost more. And, my Mexican friend who's a chef in Mexico told me it will cost more in Mexico too.
Diploma will be given to all those students who passes more than 80% of both written & practical exam after the completion of 40hrs of 3 courses, "Barista Basic", "Cupping for Coffee shops" and "Barista Advanced".
Diploma of the Professional Barista
And, I already finished "Barista Basic", "Cupping for Coffee shops" and "Barista Advanced".
So, I'm ready to take an exam, but I have those theories, practices, etc., that I have to remember before an exam. Looks so much left before an exam..
Anyway, I'll update here later.
Those course I took, I will talk about it a little bit in Academia Barista Pro page on my website.
Now
Now, I'm thinking about if I should take other courses with school or buy something and start practicing what I learned in those courses.
Will see. Will update sometime later.
