Prejudice
Working with Miles Hewstone, I have published a major review on intergroup bias.
My colleagues and I have also distinguished two different types of discrimination: competitive discrimination and compensatory discrimination.
We have also identified a specific form of prejudice against migrants as well as predictors of this deviant bias.
Working with Stefania Paolini and colleagues, we have discovered that negative experiences with outgroup members increase prejudice more than positive experiences decrease prejudice.
