Short Bio and CV

I am a senior economist at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), currently working as the IMF Resident Representative to Gabon, in Central Africa. 

My prior experience at the IMF, which started in the IMF Economist Program, includes: (i) 2,5 years in the Research Department as part of the team preparing the World Economic Outlook (WEO); (ii) 4 years in the Fiscal Affairs Department (FAD) working as fiscal economist in the EC/ECB/IMF program for Portugal and as fiscal economist for Honduras, besides working on macro-fiscal policy studies and technical assistance missions (Aruba, Mozambique, Portugal, South Africa, and Ukraine); and (iii) 1.5 years working in the African Department on the country teams for Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, and Republic of Congo.

  

Before the IMF, I worked and lectured in several institutions and universities in Brazil, Europe, and the US; including the European Central Bank, the United Nations, the University of Amsterdam, and CEPII and Sciences Po in Paris.

 

I hold a Ph.D. and M.Phil. in Economics from the University of Amsterdam and the Tinbergen Institute, a M.Sc. in Economics from the Fundação Getúlio Vargas - São Paulo, and a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of São Paulo.
