MSA Mission Statement

The Maine Suzuki Association supports the Suzuki community of Maine, providing resources, connection, enrichment opportunities and scholarships for students, families, and educators. We promote the educational philosophy of Shinichi Suzuki.

Adopted by the Board of Directors August 3, 2025.

History of MSA 

In the fall of 1992, a small group of Suzuki parents and teachers met to form a non-profit organization devoted to furthering the philosophy and educational ideals of Dr. Shinichi Suzuki within northern New England. During its first year the organization hosted the "National Childrens' Tour" from Japan with a fall performance and workshop in Portland, ME. 

The Maine Suzuki Association became a 501(c)(3) organization in 2002.
