Grooves of Grace & Glory

This is my latest project and everything about came super easy and fast. It seemed like a divinely sent providential punt from above right into my lap! Michael Mark was the poet narrator who speaks biblical truth of grace & glory, and I am the groove master Jedi and together we have created a solid gold brick stepping stone into the glorious Kingdom of God!

Background Info:

I am the lead guitarist for an annual amazing Christmas theater show called "Let It Be Christmas", which features all songs from The Beatles. Michael Mark was the creative force writing and doing the incredible narration - poetic lines for the show. During his last season of Christmas 2015, I decided to give him a gift of an old Christmas CD I made called "Acoustic Manger". In return, he ran out to his car and gave me a crude hand written CD of several of his live raps for support and recovery groups. He simply put his phone on record, stuffed it in his pocket, and did the raps and later put them on CD. They were all amazing! Deep theology, and very close to my line of thinking with many themes on The Kingdom of God and my "Magnificent Mundane" concept also. I got the idea (divine providence) to quickly create some grooves in my basement studio that might fit the rap. Of course I had to clean up his audio and put it all together, but it happened in less than a week!

I contacted him in early January 2016, without telling anything I did, and requested a meeting at a nearby Starbucks. We met, I gave him a finished copy, and actually played most of it there on MP3 for him also. He was simply floored and delighted! He said it all sounds like they were made to go together like that and said no one had ever done anything like that with his raps. We both had plans to do another and to try to distribute this one as much as possible, but all plans were stopped when just several months later, he left this world to meet his Savior.

I truly believe this project was divinely ordered as God knew his time was nearly out, and these messages needed an outlet. So here they are and I am now working on producing videos for each one, and they will all be posted here. Please pass these along freely and be blessed!
