A home theater is one of the most exciting projects that can be undertaken. All of a sudden YOU become the neighborhood destination for the 'crowd' to gather and socialize during the big game or the network movie premier event. Nothing better than dimming the lights a little and cranking up the sound to enjoy the jets taking off in a big military movie. NASCAR will never be the same after enjoying the cars rushing thru your theater at 200 MPH with the sub-woofer adjusted up, just a little.

Most home owners contact me for a home theater setup that they wish to add to a basement game room, or maybe they wish to upgrade their family room. Recently I was contacted to install 2 theaters and several wall-mount flat-screen TVs throughout a small condo on Catawba Island. On the right is a short video of that installation upon completion, there was still some construction going on, but this finished product works great.
At about the 3 minute mark on the video, I am showing a 19" flat-screen TV that was mounted for this customer with a cable running over to his desk. This particular TV was to be used as a second monitor for his pc. He is a radiologist from Cleveland and uses this home office setup to view and check x-ray pictures via his high definition pc.
All of the TVs shown in the video have input connections for video games, pc's, and laptops for homework and internet TV/movie viewing using Netflix and other services.
I had another customer that lived in a 'gated community' that was registered with the National Historical Society, so any work that was done to his home had to pass all local and regional building codes (of course), but he also had to pass a 'walk through' inspection by representatives of the historical society. Any work done to his home had to blend with the natural decor of the era. The customer wanted a nice flat-screen TV on the wall above his fire place with surround sound, so I had to 'hide' the wall mounted TV until it was time to watch. In the pictures below, you can a nice oil painting above his TV that looks perfect for the era. At the touch of a button, the painting would scroll up into the wall and his TV would appear, available for the game of the week in surround sound. If you look close you may see the speakers flush mounted in the ceiling, but they were painted the same color so they blend right in...
