Volunteer Guidelines
West End 2023 - 2024 Volunteer Guidelines
When volunteering at West End, please be mindful of the following:
Enter through the front doors to sign in at the security window and always bring your photo ID for entry.
All volunteers will be on a list provided and submitted by committee chairs for each individual event.
Proceed directly to your volunteering destination after signing in.
Stopping for conversations with staff or at classroom doors is not allowed.
Please refrain from using cell phones and other electronic devices in the building.
Photographs may be taken for yearbook purposes only and these images are not to be shared on any social media platforms, privately or publicly.
Remember to use appropriate language and child-friendly topics while volunteering, as little ears may be listening!
Siblings are not permitted to attend while PTA members are volunteering. However, children are welcome to attend PTA meetings.
Please refer students to teachers and staff regarding any questions / issues, i.e. bathroom permission, health office needs, etc.
Under no circumstances are volunteers permitted to open the external door of the GP room to allow entrance to anyone outside. This is pertinent regardless of the identity of the person seeking access, be it a stranger, a student, or staff.
Volunteers are present to help all of our students equally, not just their own children. Please note, volunteers cannot provide food or money for purchases for any students other than their own children.
Be respectful of the privacy of all students and staff.
Please sign out at the security window and exit through the front doors as soon as volunteering duties are completed.
Thank you so much for being a part of our PTA Volunteering Team!
